Visit the island of Spetses and explore. Your vehicle will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Costa, a small port close to Porto Heli and from there you will get a small boat across to Spetses which taken about 20 minutes. This is an unescorted tour and as such you can arrange your own programme. Your vehivle will be waiting to pick you up at Costa on your return.You will arrive at the picturesque port of Dapia, a famous old port wihch is always full of yachts. It is the mainport and as the boat pulls into the harbour you have a panoramic view of the old Venetian mansions. Dapia has a lond promenade and makes for a great walk.
Visit the Museum of Bouboulina. Lascarina Bouboulina was one the most famous fighters from Spetses Island and she played an integral part in sea battles and sieges of castles. Her house has now been turned into a private museum and gives a clear view of a rich 18th century house in Spetses.
Visit the Beaches by boat, bus or carriage Swim in the sea and visit the beautiful beaches of Agia Marina, Agia Paraskevi and Kounoupitsa.
Take a Horse Drawn Carriage Ride and visit the old port of Spetses, a breathtaking journey giving you a glimpse of inland with its pine forests and canons that protected the island in times of war and from pirates.
Spetses Island played an important role during the Greek War of Independence and helped during the struggle of the Greeks against the Ottomans with war ships and gunpowder. Elegant mansions can be seen all over the town, the mansion of Hatzigiannis-Mexis that houses the Municipal Museum and the mansion of Sotirios Anargyros, next door to Bouboulina Museum.

I have visited Mycenae during my European tour with friends. We were astonished by the grandeur and the craftmanship of people who built these walls and tombs. The museum was small, but the antiquities were well presented.
